Outreach and Training Subgroup

Project Statement

This subgroup seeks to collate and offer a variety of continuing education programs and services that focus on biomedical research data management. In addition, through a focused outreach approach, the subgroup continuously evaluates community needs and interests in order to strengthen the engagement of individuals and organizations. The connections and resources generated through this effort will target many levels of users and will allow for the DMWG to engage community members in learning about and understanding the challenges related to managing data.

2019 Goals

  1. Increase DMWG Newsletter subscription
  2. Document the DMWG Newsletter creation and distribution process
  3. Data-based assessment of user feedback on past RDM seminars
  4. Identify enticing RDM training topics and seminar titles
  5. Conduct increased outreach to faculty about the DMWG
  6. Evaluate the internal DMWG Outreach Survey Form
