Harvard Biomedical Data Management Website Subgroup

Project Statement

This subgroup will maintain and expand the Harvard Biomedical Data Management website, which was created to provide a central location for sharing information about best practices and resources for the management of biomedical research data from Harvard Medical School, the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Harvard-affiliated hospitals. This subgroup will keep the website up-to-date, and will oversee larger projects to develop new content for the site. This project will also work to improve the usability and aesthetics of the website. Using feedback from website users and shared expertise from subgroup members, the website will remain well positioned to offer educational resources and information to the Harvard biomedical community.

2019 Goals

  1. Publish all subgroups’ annual goals to the website to promote transparency
  2. Complete a usability report for the website
  3. Website updates, including suggestions from usability report and from other subgroups
  4. Analyze the results of the reformatting prior to and after the report
  5. Recruit (1-3) more members to the subgroup
