Collection of data and research related to Coronavirus Disease

This is a collection of data and research related to Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Many data repositories have been created in order to support global scientific efforts related to COVID-19. The majority of these resources are open access and available remotely.

  • COVID-19 Interactive map via Johns Hopkins
    • In an effort to provide you with the most up-to-date information the COVID-19, the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at JHU has created an interactive web-based map to track cases of the virus around the world.

  • Protocols.io COVID-19 Method Development Community
    • This protocols.io group is for the support of researchers working on coronavirus methods, intended to facilitate method-centered collaboration and sharing.

  • The COVID Tracking Project
    • The COVID Tracking Project collects information from 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and 5 other US territories to provide the most comprehensive testing data we can collect for the novel coronavirus.

  • Daily Reports of COVID-19 Statistics
    • GitHub repository of COVID-19 daily reports collated by John Hopkins Medical Center includes global coronavirus data tracking the number of confirmed cases, deaths, and recoveries, by location, updated daily.

  • Coronavirus Data in the United States
    • The New York Times collected data files with cumulative counts of coronavirus cases in the United States, at the state and county level, over time.

  • COVID-19 US state-by-state projections
    • The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington is regularly updating data on the current and projected spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Data Sets available through Amazon Web Services contain findings generated by IHME’s COVID-19 analytic work.

  • USA Hospital Beds
    • AWS Data Exchange dataset on hospital bed allocations from Definitive Healthcare who provides intelligence on the numbers of licensed beds, staffed beds, ICU beds, and the bed utilization rate for hospitals in the United States.

  • NCBI Virus – SARS-CoV
    • NCBI Virus is an integrative, value-added resource designed to support retrieval, display and analysis of a curated collection of virus sequences and large sequence datasets. Access up-to-date SARS-CoV-2 GenBank data.

  • Dataverse COVID-19 Datasets (collection link updated 2020-05-09)
    • Dataverse is a repository for research data across research fields, including a growing collection of COVID-19 datasets.

  • COVID-19 at figshare (collection link updated 2020-05-09)
    • Figshare is an open data repository for a variety of scientific datasets, including a growing collection of COVID-19 research.

  • COVID-19 DATA HUB
    • Stay up to date with the most impactful Coronavirus visualizations from the Tableau Community.

  • COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19)
    • The Allen Institute COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19), is a free resource of over 47,000 scholarly articles, including over 36,000 with full text.
